How do I start this in my Community?

Here are some things to look for in potential team members:
- Has evidence of a love for God and people
- Lives in the community and desires the good of the community
- Embraces the vision for a CLC in the community
- Are good 'team players', able to work well with other people. It is very beneficial to have people from several different churches on your team.
- Able to provide 2 of the following 3 things:
- A. Time - Can do some of the leg work that needs to be done to get this thing going. Flexible to meet with principal of school, pastors, etc.
- B. Talents - Can bring special and needed skills to the work, such as legal, education, networking, previous experiences, fund-raising, etc.
- C. Treasures - Can provide funds for the work, or has connections to other who can provide funds.
If you are interested in developing a vibrant CLC in your community, then consider these important stages.
Stage One: Pre-engagement
- Pray and seek to have a vision of the incredible possibilities that a CLC in your community could realize.
- Pick a team. A CLC is never the work of one person, and it is critically important for you to choose the right people to be a part of your team. The ideal team at first would be a team of 3-4, but could be expanded to 10-12. Identify them, call them up and invite them to coffee and share the vision you have for a CLC in your community. Pray about it together. Once they are all committed, you will be ready to begin the journey together.
- Choose the best approach for your community. There are three different approaches to developing a CLC in your community. They are all good! But one will be the best fit for you and your community.

We believe in you and your knowledge of your community, and we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We will help you tailor your CLC to fit your community.
